Helping conservation professionals with tools to be successful

Helping conservation professionals thrive

People are the bedrock of Iowa’s conservation movement. It’s the watershed coordinators who are out the recruiting farmers to get involved. The engineers who are making conservation designs possible. The conservation agronomists who are informing farmers how sustainability and profitability can overlap. The problem solvers who are finding new ways to get more done. These resources are to help you help more people. Need something else? Feel free to get in touch.

Field day funding

IAWA is proud to financially support local communities, conservation professionals, and organizations to host field days. We believe education and information is most effective when paired with hands-on or in-person learning!

IAWA offers a limited amount of scholarships annually for Iowa farmers to attend a soil health conference or related event that may require registration, travel costs, or even a hired hand help in order to get away from the farm to attend. Nominations must come from Iowa water quality professionals.

Edge of Field Signs

IAWA has a limited fund for signs to promote conservation. The fund is replenished annually based on budget availability.  We approve signs based on order of application, how much traffic goes by the location, and the impact of the conservation practice.
