No-Till and Soil Health Field Day

Iowa Learning Farms invites farmers and landowners to a No-Till and Soil Health Field Day focused on practical ways to improve soil conservation and productivity. Host Mark Thompson will share his experiences transitioning to full no-till practices on his farm, including tips for managing residue and timing field operations. Additional speakers include ISU Extension Field Agronomist Angie Rieck-Hinz, who will discuss residue management in no-till systems, and Humboldt County farmer Doug Adams, who will highlight how cover crops, no-till, and strip-till practices work together to enhance soil health. The event will conclude with a field tour.
