DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Agriculture Water Alliance (IAWA) has been recognized with first place in Region Three for “Website Directed at Farmers and Ranchers” in the Best of NAMA competition. The award honors IAWA’s website, iaagwater.org, which launched in fall 2025.

“This recognition validates our commitment to making water quality resources accessible for Iowa’s ag community,” said Pat McGonegle, IAWA board member and CEO of Iowa Pork Producers Association.

Best of NAMA is an awards program created by the National Agri-Marketing Association to highlight industry successes.

IAWA’s award-winning site has easy-to-find tabs for farmers and conservation professionals. Its resources include an info hub that connects farmers to financial assistance, a conservation library for exploring practices tailored to specific goals, and “Water Quality 101” – a judgement-free zone to learn about water in Iowa

IAWA will be adding new resources to the site in 2026 with enhanced cost share search functionality and expanded program information for both farmers and professionals.

The Best of NAMA competition drew 975 entries across six regions competing in 62 categories. Regional winners advance to the national competition, with awards presented at the Agri-Marketing Conference in St. Louis on April 15, 2026.

TheIowa Agriculture Water Alliance(IAWA) is increasing the pace and scale of farmer-led efforts to improve water quality in Iowa. It was founded in 2014 by Iowa Corn, the Iowa Soybean Association, and the Iowa Pork Producers Association.  Learn more atwww.iaagwater.org
