Conservation Practices To Create and Steward Critical Bird Habitat

Aaron Lehman and his family grow corn, soybeans and hay at Lehman Farms LTD. Conservation plays a central role on the farm. They use extended crop rotations and take part in several federal conservation programs, such as the Conservation Stewardship Program, Conservation Reserve Program and Prairie Pothole Water Quality and Wildlife Program. In 2017, Aaron was named Polk County Conservation Farmer of the Year.
