Field Day at LICA Farm to Learn About New Edge-of-Field Practices

Wondering how to get involved in conservation practices to improve water quality?

Attend a unique field day to learn about new Edge-of-Field practices, such as bioreactors and saturated buffers. Farmers and contractors are invited to join other water quality stakeholders to increase understanding of these practices.

You’ll hear from:

  • Julie Kenney, Deputy Secretary, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS)
  • Jim Jordahl, Director of Programs and Operations, Iowa Agriculture Water Alliance (IAWA)
  • Aaron Lyle, President, Land Improvement Contractors Association of Iowa (LICA)

Tour the various conservation practices installed at the LICA farm and visit the Iowa Learning Farms (ILF) Conservation Station On The Edge trailer.

When: The event is Thursday, September 13, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. This field day is free and includes a complimentary meal provided by the Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Corn, and IAWA.
